Automation Engineer

The Engineer II role requires an individual have a diverse engineering skill set with the ability to work independently to perform all aspects of process automation engineering and system integration, including initial concepts, specifications, design engineering, documentation, project implementation, testing, startup, and training of operating and maintenance personnel. You will be a key member of a diverse team of professionals developing solutions for our client’s most complex automation challenges.

You will lead or work on a project team responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control applications, plan and coordinate work as part of a project team, develop project schedules and budgets, anticipate and provide solutions to project leadership and/or customer, and participate in design, development, and startup of control systems.

Hands on experience executing automation projects for process plants, minimum of 3-5 years in industry, preferably in Life Sciences domain. BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background. Knowledge of industry standards including ISA S88 Batch standard, ISA S95 Controls System Architecture, GAMP 5 & cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11. Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, databases, historians including OSI PI. SQL skills, familiarity with Allen Bradley and other control systems, troubleshooting and commissioning experience.
